Clarendon Juniors Football Club is affiliated with the Wiltshire County Football Association and on Sunday 20th July last year was presented with their Charter Standard CLUB OF THE YEAR Award 2008. More

Based at Winterslow, near Salisbury in south Wiltshire, players come to us from all over south Wiltshire and west Hampshire. Whilst we have an enviable record of success in local youth league and cup competitions, our prime concern is that our players are able to reach their potential in an environment which promotes fair play and one which is under-pinned by a culture of safety and enjoyment. CLARENDON BOYS AND GIRLS IN LEAGUE REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS:

Juniors' Under 15s girls Georgia and Evie made their debuts for the Under 16s Winchester & District Representative team against their North Hants League counterparts.

Both girls started on the bench, both came on midway through the first half, Evie in her favoured right wing role, Georgia in an unfamiliar centre mid role.
Both were a credit to themselves, but conditions of a frozen pitch made it hard for them to show their full strengths.
Alas the team lost 4-0...

Team mate Zoe has also been selected for the Representative team at Under 14s. She made her debut as a sub in a 2-0 defeat against Surrey County Rep team.

As for the Under 14s boys Tristan, Drew and Tobe played for the Testway League representative side as they won 5-4 against Mid Sussex Youth team. Tobe scoring the winner. They lead the league after 2 games with 2 wins out of 2 after Testway won 5-1 in their opening game against Oxford Mail Boys League rep team. On that occasion Tobe scored 2 with Drew also on the scoresheet.

Well done all of you. Congratulations!

The Football Association recently launched the second in its series of Respect films featuring British actor Ray Winstone, aimed at highlighting the pressures placed on young footballers by angry and aggressive parents. W
e would like to think that we don't have such a problem within the Club and will take action where necessary, but it's good to know that the FA is taking a stance on the issue. Anyway, here's a link to the new vid. VIEW NOW

24th January -
No doubt the result of the weekend, as the Under 15 Girls pulled off a cup shock against division 1 team Portsmouth. Portsmouth took an early lead, but a great finish from Georgia Hedge took them in level at half time. A second from Hedge and a low drive from Evie Cummings sealed their unexpected semi final place. GIRLS' FOOTBALL:
At the moment the club has a girls' team at under 15 but if the interest is there for a younger girls' team then we would love to run one in the near future, so come along and join in!
